What Students Will Learn

Our curriculum aligns with the Florida Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS) and covers:

• Nature of Science – Scientific inquiry, data analysis, and critical thinking.

• Physical Science – Energy, forces, and motion.

• Life Science – Interdependence, diversity of life, and ecosystems.

• Earth & Space Science – Earth systems, weather, and the universe.

Technology in Science

Students use digital tools and interactive resources to enhance learning, including:

• Virtual simulations

• Digital lab notebooks

• Online platforms for assignments and feedback

Assessment & Support

Students are assessed through:

• Hands-on labs and experiments

• Projects and presentations

• Quizzes, tests, and the 8th Grade Statewide Science Assessment

Teachers provide support through classroom help and individualized feedback to ensure every student succeeds.
